Fonz the ONLY star.....

Postby V4Villain on Tue Jul 27, 2010 7:31 pm

player in the English under 19's campaign according to several reports. One suggested that he would be the only player that would get in the Spanish line up!

If we are not careful the likes of him and Albrighton will becom disallusioned and move on....!!

If we do lose some of our talented youngsters because of lack of first team action then I will not be a very happy villain :grr:

Me neither.

I fear we could lose them unless they are used a hell of alot more than previous, but I think MON knows this and they will be !!

I watched the game and Delfouneso played well. The commentators were very complimentary about him.

I think this season MON will use marc and the fonz a lot more, which is why i think with just a couple of signings we will be better

also front six of

Downing NRC Petrov Albrighton

Young

Gabby / Fonz

and thats without any signings and milner going

Marc can cross better than milner and think has more potential and by all acount ash has been plating really well in pre season. I m quietly confident about next season if im honest

over reaction or what, why would we possibly lose these 2, they both aren't good enough to start week in week out as yet and are being blooded in perfectly as far i can make out, just the UEFA Cup exit gave them less chances than they would have had gee
Wow man this is like proper raving!!

I'm not saying this moment in time....but it is plausable for a Championship manager coming in for him if they've watched the U19's.

It wouldn't be the first time youth has been loaned out only to be sold off, never to wear claret and blue again!!

I say they are both good enough to start week in week out anyway....can't be much worser than Downing or Heskey!

Got to watch the first half during my horrible morning hangover, Fonz was really the only English player that looked dangerous. Though Bostocks goal was cracking, dunno why he was played fullback, even if Baker was injured.

The Spanish were another class though. They're second goal was beautiful.

Not many people on here have mentioned the fonz for the upcoming season, i think given the chance he can be just as good as any of our strikers. When he's fully fit would also like to see Delph given more game time

Well I havn't stopped for the past two seasons. He should be a regular starter, certainly for this season. I rate him higher than Gabby, but that just causes arguments !

well it looks as if Fonz is raring to go as he`s already @ the training camp in Portugal , despite his recent exploits with England U19`s

What i don't get about the U19's that they can call up players from the U21's for u19's championships/tournaments as long as there 19 or under, i don't understand why they didn't call up players like Rodwell, Wilshere, etc.. I know that theres probably people out there thinking "because these players are too good to play for the U19's, but the fonz made his debut for the U21's and scored on it so i expect him to be a regular u21 too, don't get it :hmm:

I think it depends on whether you want to win competitions, or try to develop the players. I don't think there's much point in players "going back" too much. I'd rather see them try to develop other players rather than just play already established players for the sake of trying to win the competition.
